Ruby the Doberman Training at Tractor Supply
In this video, Ruby the Doberman Pinscher and her trainer Noelani take obedience training into a real-world setting at Tractor Supply. Ruby practices focused heeling, sit, down, stay, and recall while navigating a busy retail environment filled with distractions like shopping carts, customers, other dogs, and loud noises. The power even went out at one point due to a storm, but Ruby remained calm and in a down stay.
Training in public spaces like this helps dogs generalize their obedience skills and remain calm, confident, and responsive no matter where they are. Ruby’s work here demonstrates the importance of consistency, engagement, and building trust between dog and handler.
Whether it's at home or out in the world, our goal is to create dogs that are well-mannered, reliable, and a joy to bring anywhere.
