Kayla Wattle

Kayla has always had a love and passion to work with animals, especially dogs. Growing up, she always had animals from cats, birds, ducks, pot belly pigs, and has never been without a dog at her side. Her first dog as an adult was her border collie Ace, who opened the door to her career in the dog world.

Prior to becoming a dog trainer Kayla worked in veterinary medicine and was a veterinary technician. While she enjoyed learning and working in veterinary medicine, she also knew that she wanted to learn more about animal behavior and the importance of learning how they communicate and the relationship we have with them. This lead her to the DOG Training Institute!

Kayla has been with the DOG Training Institute since 2021 and has worked alongside Ashley who shares the same passion and dedication for dog training. Kayla’s goal is to help build better relationships between dog owners and their pets. By providing clear communication between dog and owner, the relationship between dog and owner becomes stronger. Training helps give the dog structure and gives them a clear understanding of their owner’s expectations, which in turn helps boost their confidence, enhances mental stimulation, and creates a happy and healthy relationship between dog and owner.

Kayla is an AKC Family Dog evaluator (Canine Good Citizen, Advanced CGC, Urban CGC, STAR puppy), AKC Fetch Dog judge, IACP professional member, and is Pet First Aid/CPR certified. She is also the manager here at the DOG Training Institute.

Kayla currently has five dogs of her own and a two year old son.
